Welcome to Little Woodlands, we hope you have enjoyed looking around our nursery.

We know choosing a nursery can be a daunting experience and you want to get it right so if you have any questions, please can in contact with us and one of our team will be happy to go through anything with you.

Please see below our nursery fees, funding information and terms and conditions. If you would like to register your child, please scan the QR code on the front sheet to complete the registration form and speak with the nursery manager about availability and a suitable start date.

We have two fee options, please see the tables below.

 

1. Private fees

We have our private nursery fees for all families. These are for private sessions outside of the Government funding entitlement. They include all meals and snacks, personal care items (non food charges) and activities charges.

Please see the information below for what is included in the nursery consumable charges.

Food charges –  include breakfast, morning and afternoon snacks, a hot lunch with a pudding and high tea depending on which session is attended.

Non food consumables – include all personal care items such as nappies, wipes, nappy cream, nappy bags and suncream. Drinks bottles are also provided if required. This rate will be reduced once your child is fully toilet trained.

Activities charges – include nursery events and festivals such as graduation, birthdays, mother and father day events, extra curricula activities from outside agencies (this may change depending on children’s interests and availability).

NB: Parents can choose to ‘opt out’ of consumable fees but will need to provide everything normally included and follow our strict packed food policy. Please speak to the nursery manager if you wish to ‘opt out’ and more information will be provided.

 

Terms and Conditions

General

  • A registration form/contract & any other paperwork must be completed and signed by both parents/carers. Returned before your child can start at nursery.
  • Permissions must be complete on the Famly app, before the settling in sessions.
  • We highly recommend a minimum booking of 2 sessions per week on different days to support your child routine and well-being.
  • 10% Discount eligible for the eldest child whilst 2 siblings attend the nursery on privately paid nursery fees.
  • The change in fee rate is applied from your child’s 3rd birthday and the consumable charge change will be once your child is fully toilet trained, please speak with the nursery manager to arrange this change.
  • All fees are payable on the 1st of every month, in advance, per each calendar month. Parents are responsible for all invoiced fees outside of funded hours.
  • We are open between the hours of 7.30 am and 6.00 pm.
  • The nursery is closed between Christmas Eve and New Year inclusive for which there will be no charge. Dates are given at the beginning of each year. There is also no charge for bank holidays. Nursery remains open for the rest of the year, where fees are payable in full.
  • All fees are payable during all periods of absence including holidays and sickness other than when the nursery is closed.
  • The nursery stretches the funding entitlement giving families 50 weeks of funding per year.
  • There are limited term time only spaces available across the nursery with a minimum booking of 3 full days, please discuss with the nursery manager at point of registration.
  • We use the Famly App for invoicing, communication, accessing your child’s records and your child’s learning journey including photos and tracking development.
  • Our Ofsted registration number is 2849761.

 

Private Fees

  • At Little Woodlands, we offer an all inclusive package for sessions that are cover by privately paid fees which includes all personal hygiene items (nappies, wipes, tissues etc), homemade nursery meals, snacks and drinks (please note – formula milk is not included), weather protection items such as sun cream, sun hats and water proof clothing, celebrations, nursery events and festivals such as graduation, birthdays, mother and father day events and many more.

 

Funding and Consumables

  • All Government nursery funding is accepted at Little Woodlands, please share you funding code (if applicable) with the nursery manager at point of registration or as soon as your child becomes eligible. Parents are responsible of keeping their details up to date on their Tax Free Childcare account and informing nursery of any changes. If the code falls out of the confirmation date, they may lose their funding and will be responsible for all fees.
  • Little Woodlands stretches the funding to cover 50 weeks of the year giving families who are eligible for 30 hours of funding 22.8 hours per week or if eligible for 15 hours of funding 11.4 hours per week depending on eligibility.
  • It is important to know that the Government funding is not intended to cover the full cost of childcare. It covers the cost of the effective delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework.
  • We split nursery consumable costs for funded only sessions to allow parents to have the funded sessions fully covered by the Government funding.
  • To enable families to access their fully funded sessions, we offer the option for families to ‘opt out’ of the nursery consumable costs. Should you wish to ‘opt out’ of consumable costs you will need to provide all the above for your child following our nursery guidance and strict Packed Food Policy. Please speak to the nursery manager at point of registration to find out how to ‘opt out’ of consumable fees.
  • Consumable fees only are waived during notified holiday periods. 4 weeks notice must be given to the manager in writing. Managers discretion is final.

Deposit Fee

A £100 deposit fee is payable once your place is confirmed. For fully funded places, the deposit will be returned within the first term. For parents who use additional paid hours beyond the funded entitlement, the deposit will be returned when their child leaves the setting, provided the account is up to date and the full 4 weeks notice is given.

 

Settling In Sessions

Once your nursery place has been confirmed, we want to ensure your child is familiar with the nursery and key staff who will be caring for them and ensure that parents feel happy and ready to take on this next step in your child’s life.

We offer settling in sessions for all children. During the sessions, you will be introduced to a member of the team who will be your child’s key person or buddy so you have a familiar face ready for your child’s first day. They will be with you for your child’s settling in session and go through your child’s routine, needs and everything we need to know about them and your family.

We offer 3 settling in sessions usually a week or 2, before the registered start date.
1. Session 1 – 1 hour. A parent/carer must stay to support the child and complete paperwork.
2. Session 2 & 3 – 2 hours. We suggest the child is settled by the parent/carer and then left to enjoy the session.

A member of the management team will contact you to arrange these prior to your child’s start date.

 

Increase to hours/days attended

Little Woodlands are happy to offer additional days/sessions to those initially booked or ad hoc sessions subject to availability. However, your account must be paid up to date before the additional days can be taken. These can be requested by speaking to a member of management via the Famly app who will approve/reject subject to availability.

 

Nursery Fee Reviews

Fees may be paid via online bank transfer as well as from the Government Tax Free Childcare (TFC) account, we also accept payments from most childcare voucher companies (please speak to the nursery manager for more information). Parents are responsible for all invoiced nursery fees, maintaining their funding code to ensure their eligibility does not change and informing nursery of any changes to family circumstances, that may affect this.

Fees are set by Management and are reviewed every 6 months, in line with changes to:

  • Minimum and National Living Wage
  • Inflation
  • Government policy or operational costs

Changes may occur more frequently if required by government legislation.

Please ensure you reference your child’s full name on payments to be sure they can be allocated correctly and in a timely manner.

Late Fees & Unpaid Accounts

A late fee of 5% plus a £20.00 admin fee will be incurred if fees are not received on time. Additional charges may apply for any returned payments. Little Woodlands employs a debt collection agency who will take over any unpaid accounts.

 

Notice Periods

At Little Woodlands, we require one month’s written and paid notice to either terminate your child’s nursery contract or to change your child’s sessions regardless of if you have started or not. This is at the discretion of the nursery manager.
